Hey everyone! I’m on the lookout for some new games to sink my time into, especially since I’ve played a lot of my favorites recently. I need something that I can really zone out with for a few hours each day and not be overwhelmed by complicated mechanics. I have some challenges with certain interfaces, but I stick with games for a bit to see if they click with me.
Here are some games I’ve enjoyed in the past: Skyrim, Fallout 4, WoW Classic, A Game About Digging a Hole, Stardew Valley, Luck be a Landlord, Balatro, Slay the Spire, Terraria, Hades, and Cassette Beasts. Recently, I tried titles like Subnautica, No Man’s Sky, Satisfactory, and BG3, but I found them a bit too overwhelming. I did have some fun with V Rising initially, but it wore off pretty quickly.
I’m leaning towards RPGs, sandbox titles, strategy games, card games, and crafting games. I’m also on a budget and can handle 1-2 AAA titles, but cheaper options would be great. I’m open to pretty much anything new as long as it’s not too complicated. Thanks for any suggestions!

“My Time at Sandrock” and “Recettear: A Item Shop’s Tale” are both excellent choices that blend RPG and sandbox elements. They feature straightforward crafting systems that are easy to get into.
If you’re into stealth mechanics, give “Hitman: World of Assassination” a go. It’s a sandbox where you can approach each mission in many different ways, and the replayability is insane!
If you liked Slay the Spire, you might want to give “Monster Train” a shot. It’s similar but adds some cool floor-defense elements to the mix. I found it super fun, especially when it was on sale!
You should definitely check out “Brotato” and “Vampire Survivors”. They’re both relaxing and easy to control with just a single joystick, making them great for unwinding without too much stress.
Have you tried “The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy”? It’s an easy-to-play visual novel/SRPG that’s massive in scope. There’s a demo you can try first, so you can see if it hooks you without diving right in!
