I’m not a fan of the puzzle aspects of these games and just want to dive back into exploring, combat, and the story. I’m planning on replaying the game quite a few times since I love the rest of it. Is there a super-fast way or cheat to get through the Soft-Step Trial, Self-Same Trial, and Faith-Leap Trial? I have the script extender installed and I’m open to using any mods.

Just use invisibility spells for sneaking through the trials. For the Self-Same, going in unarmed to face your clone is a cheeky but effective strategy. The Faith-Leap Trial can be finished quickly with good jumping abilities; I find Misty Step really comes in handy to skip some of the annoying parts. Alternatively, just use Knock on the door to bypass the trials altogether and save yourself the trouble!
For the Self-Same Trial, just remove your gear and bleed at the altar to summon a clone, then handle it unarmed. Collect the loot afterward. If you’re feeling lazy, skip the first two trials entirely and just use Knock on the door to get through! For Soft-Step, have a lockpicking character go ahead before you start the trial. They can disarm traps and unlock their way to the end. After that, just summon another party member to begin the trial and teleport back with the gem. For the Faith Leap, equip the Eversight Ring or cast Daylight to help clear the way. You can use arrows or even spells like Misty Step to get across the platforms quickly!
Nice tips! Never thought about using arrows for the leap trial, I’ll give that a shot!
For the Soft-Step Trial, you can use a Shadow Monk with invisibility and the Shadow Step ability to slip through undetected. If you’ve got a character with Gaseous Form, they can float through the grates directly to the crystal too. Both methods let you sneak past the sentinels without a fuss! For the Faith-Leap Trial, once again, the Shadow Monk shines with the Eversight Ring to avoid blindness while hopping across the pillars. You won’t waste any tokens doing it this way! As for the Self-Same Trial, start off by sneaking up on your first target. If you get the jump on them, you can take them out before the others even know what’s happening. And don’t forget: if you’re not aiming for 100% completion, just complete one trial to unlock the elevator, then use Knock on the big door at the bottom.
Sounds like a solid plan! I’ve found that stealth really makes a difference in these trials.
Totally agree! Knock really simplifies things – it’s a game changer.
