I’m currently grinding the IJN line and looking for a hybrid battleship experience. I’ve seen mixed opinions about both North Carolina (NC) and Nebraska, and I’m feeling conflicted. I’ve heard that the Nebraska line isn’t great, and grinding through New Mexico (NM) and Colorado can be quite a pain. What should I go for?

Definitely choose North Carolina! Nebraska is one of the worst tech tree ships I’ve played. Its accuracy is awful, the planes are just okay, and that giant flight deck makes it a damage magnet. You’ll go through NM and Colorado either way, but NC is a classic that leads to strong ships like Iowa and Montana. Plus, with the changes coming for carriers, Nebraska isn’t the way to go. If you still want hybrid, save up and get Kearsarge instead—it’s much better!
If you’re looking for a hybrid experience, I’d say go for Nebraska since it’s the only hybrid line available. But honestly, I’d lean towards North Carolina. It’s a solid choice overall.
NC all the way! It’s one of my favorite battleships—super reliable and fun to play.
North Carolina is amazing! It’s a well-rounded battleship that I’ve really enjoyed playing.
Nebraska is not the greatest, but Delaware and Louisiana can be decent if you manage their weaknesses well. They’ve got powerful guns, but that flight deck isn’t very tanky. Play smart with range and angles, but remember you’re still a battleship first. The planes are okay, but don’t get too stuck in the air unless you’re specifically targeting a DD your team is engaging.
Yeah, if you play at mid-range, you can deploy your planes quickly without wasting too much time. Just play it smart!
Really? You think Nebraska’s planes are mediocre? They perform pretty well compared to others out there. Also, I wouldn’t recommend Kearsarge as a first coal ship unless players are already comfortable with how planes work.
