Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for some awesome RTS games that capture the thrill of army management similar to StarCraft 2 and the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War series. I’m looking for games where I can collect resources and build my forces to tackle different objectives. I’ve never really enjoyed the PvP aspect of SC2 (it can get pretty toxic!), so I’m focusing on story-driven campaigns. If you guys could suggest any titles, that would be amazing! Preferably games available on PC and Steam. By the way, I’ve already tried Command and Conquer, and I loved it!

Command and Conquer is definitely a classic! I think it’s available on Xbox Game Pass through EA right now. You can customize match settings, and games usually last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. I had a blast with the skirmish mode when I played it a couple of years back, and while there is multiplayer, I found the quick battles against AI to be more my speed.
If you’re looking for a strong storyline, definitely check out the Homeworld series! It has some of the best story-driven RTS campaigns (except for the third one). I highly recommend trying ‘Deserts of Kharak’ for a more grounded experience; the controls are ultra-familiar, and it’s set at the start of the lore.
