Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade my gaming setup because my GTX 1060 6GB is falling behind the minimum requirements for many games these days. I’ve got a decent system with an ASRock B450M Steel Legend motherboard, a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and 48GB of 3200 MHz RAM. Currently, I’m on a budget of around $570 USD, or 500 EUR, and I’ve been eyeing a few options like the 9060 XT OC 16GB and the 5060 TI 16GB. I’ve also heard good things about the new Intel Arc GPUs for their price-to-performance ratio. My power supply is likely 500W, and I need to confirm if upgrading it will be necessary. Right now, I’m gaming at 1080p but I’m thinking about moving to a higher resolution in the near future. If you have any suggestions for GPU upgrades or whether I need to boost any other components, I’d love to hear them! Thanks for the help!

Consider getting a Ryzen 5600 or 5600X to pair with a powerful GPU like the RX 9060 XT for around $370. Also, if you don’t need all your RAM, you might want to drop the 2x8GB kit to simplify things. It’s all about finding that balance for performance!
I’ve had a great experience with the RTX 2060 12GB; you might find a good deal on a used one, and it could fit well with your current setup. Just keep an eye on potential bottlenecks with your CPU if you go for a high-end card. An upgrade to an M.2 SSD and a decent PSU would set you up nicely for future gaming!
And please, invest in a monitor that at least supports 144Hz; 60Hz is a big no-no nowadays!
Don’t forget to check if your motherboard can support better SSDs too; upgrading to an M.2 SSD gives a serious boost in loading times!
