Hey everyone! I’ve been playing for about a month now and I’m MR13. I just unlocked Steel Path but I’m really struggling with mods. I’m using Sevagoth and I think I have him built reasonably well since I can take out low-level enemies fairly quickly. However, when it comes to my weapons, I’m lost. My damage output feels almost nonexistent on Steel Path, and I’m having a tough time with high-level bounties. I’ve heard about Galvanized mods but I have no idea how to obtain them, plus I’ve sold my Riven mods since I wasn’t using them. I’m also unclear about what a Helminth is, and I accidentally summoned a Lich without knowing how to deal with it. I have the Fulmin and Burston Prime but I’m not sure if they’re good. I don’t quite understand how damage scaling works, so any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🙏

Your mod setup could definitely use some work. Different weapons and Warframes require different mod choices. For example, weapons with high crit stats should focus on crit mods while also boosting attributes they struggle with. Also, definitely level up your mods—they scale up damage significantly when ranked. For Sevagoth, consider focusing your build on ability range and energy efficiency for better performance at higher levels. Steel Path ramp up enemies’ armor and health, so viral and slash exposures work great for taking them down.
Don’t stress too much about the Lich; here’s a quick rundown: do missions on planets controlled by the Lich to spawn thralls (look for the blue guys with boosted stats), kill them, then perform finishers to gain murmurs. Once you collect enough, you’ll find out which Requiem mods to use to take down your Lich. The process can be lengthy, but the weapons they drop can be quite useful. And the Helminth system is great for swapping abilities between Warframes—you’ll unlock more info on that as you progress.
For Galvanized mods, you can earn the currency needed by playing Arbitration missions, which you can find in the Alerts tab on the star chart. Check out some builds as well—Fulmin Prime is pretty solid for Steel Path. Just make sure you’re using the right mods to maximize its potential! You’ll need to rank up those mods too; unranked ones don’t do much for your damage.
Thanks for the info! Could you remind me where the Arbitration merchant is located? I did a couple but got lost.
Also, about Prime mods: you can grab them from Baro Ki’teer who visits every two weeks and brings a rotating selection. They’re nice to have, but you can still manage without them for a while, so don’t feel pressured to have everything. And selling Riven mods is absolutely fine—they don’t fit everyone or every weapon. Focus on what suits your playstyle for now!
Got it! I’ll look into improving my mod setups to cover their weaknesses. Thanks a lot!
