Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to ESO and I’m looking for some guidance on setting up my Arcanist healer. I just hit 200 CP and currently have a 5-piece Spell Power Cure set, a 5-piece Healer’s Habit, and Grand Rejuvenation, mostly in blue and purple quality. I’m wondering if I should upgrade these sets or focus on farming for other better sets, since I’ve heard the meta ones are primarily from trials, but I often struggle to find lobbies for those. Right now, I’m farming in the Dragon Arena and White-Gold dungeon trying to get better pieces of SPC. Also, I’m using a lightning staff on my back bar, but I’m not sure what to replace my random staff with.
Additionally, I’m curious about how to effectively use Crux as a healer. I’m currently using the Chakram of Destiny, but I often forget to cast it while concentrating on healing. Would using a Fatewoven Armor set be better for passive Crux gain? Here are my current abilities:
Front Bar: Chakram of Destiny, Illustrious Healing, Echoing Vigor, Combat Prayer, Radiating Regeneration, Reviving Barrier.
Back Bar: Overflowing Altar, Energy Orb, Elemental Blockade, Rune of the Colourless, Zenas’ Empowering Disc, Aggressive Horn.
Just a heads up, I play on controller/legionGo, so sorry if the layout seems a bit off! :)

For a standard dungeon healer, aim for a setup like this: Spell Power Cure on your body, Master Architect on your jewelry and the back bar. Use a Maelstrom or Dragon Star Arena Master Resto on your front bar. Keep your body pieces divine with max magicka, jewelry infused for spell damage, and use light armor mostly. Alternatives could be swapping PA instead of MA for a different playstyle. And when doing trials, ask your raid leader what commonly used sets fit your role!
Your setup looks decent, but a bit outdated since the latest patch. Definitely swap out Healer’s Habit for something more effective, like Powerful Assault or Master Architect. They offer better buffs for healing. Also, check out the Healers Haven Discord; it’s packed with useful tips!
Healers Habit isn’t fitting the current meta as much. You want buffs that boost your healing more significantly. Just keep experimenting and you’ll grasp it!
Thanks for the tip! I’m working on getting a PA set, but it’s slow going haha. Can you explain what you mean by outdated? I’m still getting the hang of this game and the buffs!
