I’m searching for a new gaming PC that can run Oblivion smoothly. My trusty laptop is over 10 years old and can barely handle the remastered version, making it more like the original game! I’ve had some luck running Skyrim and Fallout 4 in the past, but there’s always been lag. I’m hoping to find a pre-built PC under £1,000 that would allow for future upgrades without having to build it myself. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

If you’re strictly looking for a PC, look at the used market for a decent graphics card. Maybe allocate about £600-£700 for the PC and save some for future upgrades. You might be able to set up something pretty good on a budget!
Have you thought about a console? Like the Xbox Series X? It could handle Oblivion and much more without any performance issues! Plus, you wouldn’t need to worry about upgrades for a while.
Honestly, for £1,000, you might struggle a bit to get a rig that’s going to run Oblivion perfectly. The hardware demands have grown, and even the best setups can have their hiccups. Are you considering used parts or refurbished systems? Maybe you can find a good deal that way!
Yeah, I agree with you! Sometimes refurbished PCs can give you a great bang for your buck if you’re open to it.
That’s a solid plan! Just make sure to research compatible parts if you plan to upgrade later.
