Hi everyone! I’m new to next-gen gaming and just purchased the digital version of the Xbox Series X. The last console I had was a PS3, so I’m pretty lost in today’s gaming world. I know I need a Game Pass membership, but I’m overwhelmed with the options and how it all works.
Here are my burning questions:
– Do I need to buy individual games, or does a membership let me pick from a catalog of games for a monthly fee?
– I noticed there are three types of memberships available. For a casual gamer like me, who doesn’t own a PC and loves games like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty, Halo, and some sports titles, which membership type would be best? I really have no idea what’s out there anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there! If your Xbox was bought new, it probably includes a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. With this membership, you get access to over 200 games that you can download and play as long as you have an active subscription. This is a great place to start for someone just diving into Xbox gaming!
Okay thanks! I did buy it new, and it arrives next week. So just to clarify, I thought I would need to buy the system and a separate Game Pass for multiplayer, then buy individual titles, but it sounds like I just get a subscription that covers both multiplayer access and a bunch of games. Is that right?
