Hey everyone! I’ve been having a tough time with my Steam Deck lately. It used to run games smoothly at 60 fps, but now I’m struggling to play even the simplest titles, with most of the performance just tanking. It’s weird because I also get a ‘storage full’ message, but I only have around 5 games installed on the 512GB model. Any tips or advice on how to fix this? I’m really worried that my SD might be cooked!

You might be facing the 400 MHz bug. Start by checking the overlay for that. Also, if you’ve recently updated to 3.7.8, some users experienced fan issues. Try rolling back to 3.6.24 or turn off the fan updates in your settings. Make sure to check if any Decky Loader plugins like Powertools are messing around with your performance too.
Have you checked the game sizes? Some modern titles can be massive, often eating up 60-150GB each. If you’ve got a big enough library, 5 games can take up more space than you’d think!
Yes, I’ve added it up, and it’s only like 300GB in games.
Don’t forget to pause any downloads while you’re trying to game! It can significantly impact performance if updates are running in the background.
Hey, just a heads up, if you could share what troubleshooting steps you’ve tried already, that would help a lot! Otherwise, you might get flooded with suggestions that you’ve already done. Cheers!
I haven’t done anything that’s why I’m asking for help.
I’ve already done a lot of that, but I’ll try some of your suggestions.
