Hey everyone! I was playing Apex Legends on my PS4 yesterday without any issues, but when I turned it on tonight, it got stuck on the ‘loading’ screen for the game. I tried using the Test Internet Connection option, and it returned an error while attempting to connect to PSN. I’ve already tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find, but nothing seems to work. I even logged out in hopes it would help, but when I tried to log back in, I faced the same error. Interestingly, I can still log into my account from my phone and laptop, but my PS4 just won’t connect. What options do I have?

Lastly, if none of that works, there could be an issue on Sony’s end. Sometimes their servers go down for maintenance, so check their status page online to see if that’s the case. It might just be a waiting game until they sort it out!
It sounds like a frustrating issue! One thing to check is if your PS4’s software is up to date. Sometimes, old firmware can cause connection problems. You might also want to reboot your router and modem. After that, try hard resetting your PS4. Just hold the power button until it beeps twice, and then let it restart. That worked for me before. Good luck!
If the error persists, you might want to try restoring default settings on your PS4. Just remember that it’ll reset all your settings, but it often resolves weird connection issues. Just go to Settings > Initialization > Restore Default Settings.
Make sure your PS4 isn’t set to use a proxy server. Go to the Network settings and check if anything’s enabled there. It can mess up the connection. Also, if you haven’t done it yet, try connecting via a wired Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi; it might be more stable and help with the connection.
