I’m really struggling with my custom-built PC crashing due to a ‘not enough graphics memory’ error, even though I should have enough. First, it started with only a few games like Helldivers II, but by January, most of my games and apps began crashing. The shop I bought my PC from helped me update the BIOS, which temporarily fixed the issue, but the crashes returned in late February. They adjusted some power settings and offered a check-up since my PC is under warranty. After further inspection, they replaced my 4070 Ti graphics card with a 5070 Ti, but the crashes are still happening. I’m super frustrated, especially since I rely on this PC for work. Any advice would be super helpful!

Honestly, you should take the PC back to them. Even though the graphics card was replaced, the problem persists. It might be worth getting a second opinion from another shop too. Since you don’t seem super tech-savvy, if you want it to work without hassle, that might be the best bet. But if you want to troubleshoot on your own, it might be software-related since this seems game-specific. I’d recommend backing up your files and considering a fresh Windows install to start fresh.
If you have an Intel 13th or 14th Gen CPU, reach out to the shop again and ask them about warranty repairs for the CPU. This could be a known issue!
I wasn’t aware of that; good to know! I’ll keep an eye on it.
Yeah, it’s an Intel Core i7-14700KF 3.4/5.6GHz. Guess it is 14th Gen.
They did that! I spent all afternoon reinstalling Windows and updating drivers.
