I’ve just got my Xbox Series X, but I’m running into constant crashes with almost every game I try, like Black Ops 6 and Doom Dark Ages. The only one that seems to work is Oblivion! I’ve only had the console for a day, and I’m starting to wonder if I made a mistake buying it. Could downloading games while playing be the issue, or could this be a defect?

It might help to check if you’re using only digital games. I had issues with a disc drive, but my digital games were fine after repairs. You can troubleshoot by running just one game at a time without downloads and see if that helps.
I’ve had a similar experience. My Xbox was sent in for repair twice during the first year. If your return window is closed, use the warranty to send it back to Microsoft. You can print a free shipping label and send it via UPS. Make sure you save the box for any future returns too!
