I’m having a serious overheating issue with my Intel i7 13700K. It’s consistently reaching 100°C while gaming, like when I play Call of Duty, and it never goes below 91°C. I’ve already tried undervolting and setting power limits, but nothing seems to work. I’m using a Noctua U12A cooler, and I’m at a loss for what to do next! Any advice?

Check your case airflow and how your cooler is mounted. Poor airflow can trap heat, so make sure your fans are set up to pull cool air in and push hot air out. Also, ensure that the cooler is mounted securely and evenly, as any loose screws can cause overheating, too!
Make sure your cooler is compatible and properly fitted. Have you looked over your thermal paste application? If it’s old or if you forgot to remove the plastic from the cooler’s base, that could definitely cause issues. Just double-check everything!
I reapplied the thermal paste two days ago and I definitely removed the plastic.
First off, you might want to try repasting your CPU. Sometimes, even if it looks fine, a fresh layer of thermal paste can help a ton with heat dissipation. Just make sure to clean off the old paste completely before applying the new one!
I will try that again, thank you!
I repasted it just 2 days ago for the same issue and I think I mounted it correctly.
