Hey everyone, I’m facing a frustrating issue with my frametime graph that has become really unstable after I restart my PC. A few weeks ago, everything was running smoothly; my frametime would consistently stay around 16.7ms to 17.1ms. Lately, though, it has fluctuated wildly between 21ms and 9.5ms every second.
To troubleshoot, I deleted my shader cache, shut down all RGB programs, and reset all my NVIDIA settings, but nothing worked. I even reinstalled my graphics driver using the studio driver, and for a brief moment, everything was back to normal—no frametime issues at all. However, after restarting my PC, the instability returned.
I’ve repeated the steps of killing RGB programs and deleting the shader cache multiple times without success. It seems that only reinstalling the graphics driver solves the problem temporarily until I restart again.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this for good? I’ve checked all the power connectors, everything seems to be fine, and I have the latest drivers. Here are my PC specs for reference:
– CPU: i7-13700k
– GPU: 4060 ti 16gb
– RAM: 32gb 5200mhz
– Storage: 1tb sn850
– Motherboard: MSI Z790S WiFi
Thanks in advance for any help!

I noticed you didn’t mention your PSU. What PSU are you using? Also, are you running your RAM at its full speed? That could affect performance. Have you updated your BIOS recently? Sometimes that can help with stability issues.
When you reinstalled your driver, did you use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)? That helps clean up old driver leftovers, which sometimes cause issues.
I didn’t use DDU. I downloaded the driver straight from the NVIDIA site when switching from game-ready to studio.
It’s a Corsair CX750, and my RAM speed is what I have available. And yes, my BIOS is updated.
