I have gotten to the top floor in the motherlode quest and the quest icon is pointing at the terminal for the external connection system. When I interact with it, nothing happens. The computer talks but nothing happens with the quest. Is there something I am missing or has this glitched?

I assume the three terminals in the middle of the room are the ones you are interacting with. These are not the terminals you are meant to use. You will need to go up onto the platform at the back of the room and walk to the left. You will find a machine to the left with a terminal on it. You will need to interact with this and work through the options that you can click on. Once you have read the right options, the quest will update.
