Hey everyone! I’m part of a Pathfinder 2e group that’s super fun, but my GM is really stressed lately. To help out, I thought it’d be cool to run a different campaign when they’re too busy or overwhelmed. I want to create something inspired by Xenoblade X with a mission-based structure, playing weekly. I’m hoping to find a system that includes melee combat, gun combat, and mecha combat. I’m not an expert—I only know a few TTRPG systems—so even if a system has some flaws, I can probably make it work for a lighthearted, fun hangout.

I’d recommend checking out Savage Worlds along with the Science Fiction Companion. It’s pretty easy to learn and adapts well to different settings, so you can tweak the rules to fit what you’re going for without too much hassle.
If you’re looking for something that has a bit of everything, you might want to try Fabula Ultima. It covers a good chunk of what you’re after, but just be aware it might not be as robust in every area.
Mekton Zeta could hit all three aspects you want—melee, guns, and mechs. Just a heads up, it’s a bit crunchy and has its share of flaws, but if you can look past that, it’s a solid choice. If that’s not your vibe, Savage Worlds or BESM are decent alternatives too. Not to forget, Lancer focuses solely on mecha combat, but has limited options outside the cockpit.
