Hey everyone! I’ve played FF4 with Cecil, FF6 featuring Terra, and FF7, which I really enjoyed. Chrono Trigger is my all-time favorite, though! Right now, I’m diving into FF7 Remake, and while it’s fantastic, it’s not quite filling that turn-based, world-exploring void for me. I haven’t explored many other Final Fantasy games aside from a tiny bit of FF8 back in the day. What do you recommend? Also, how can I play these games on PC? I’m a bit surprised that so many people are recommending X but barely anyone mentions 9. Any insights on that?

FF5 rocks for its job system, it’s really cool! Plus, you should also consider FF Tactics for a different style of turn-based gameplay.
If turn-based is your thing, definitely go with X! It’s got an amazing combat system. If you’re on PC, get the X/X-2 HD remaster.
I’d throw FF6 into the mix. It’s heavily strategic and really fun if you enjoy that challenge!
I think you should definitely check out FF10. It has a lot of fun turn-based combat and an interesting leveling system called the sphere grid. It’s a standout for a reason!
If you love turn-based, I’d say stick with 9 and 10! Don’t forget to try the retro ones like 1-4 too!
Bravely Default is like an extension of FF in many ways, so you might find that a good option too! And don’t sleep on Octopath Traveler 2 if you want something new.
FF10 is just great for turn-based fans with its pure turn-based system and great combat. You can also play it on Steam, and it’s often on sale!
For sure, FF10 is the top pick for turn-based combat by a long shot. It just nails that style!
Totally, but what makes it better than 9? I’m curious!
Because 10’s system is a lot more strategic! Makes battles more engaging.
Yeah, those are classics and really worth a replay!
