Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for some tactical shooters that aren’t Counter-Strike 2. I’m particularly interested in games that feature realistic firearm mechanics and don’t rely on a class system or hero characters. I’d like to steer clear of games involving air strikes or drones. Here’s how I’m hoping to find something different from CS2: I’d love a better anti-cheat system and a basic team deathmatch mode would be a plus. I’ve logged around 500 hours in CS2 and I’m craving something new. If you have suggestions that don’t meet all these criteria, I’m still open to giving them a shot!

If you’re looking for something simpler, you could try Due Process. It has procedural maps and no classes. You have a limited selection of weapons, but it captures that tactical feel, and I’ve heard they manage to keep cheaters out surprisingly well!
You might want to check out games like Arma Reforger or Ready or Not. They offer pretty tactical experiences and realistic gunplay. Plus, Ready or Not has a strong single-player mode if that’s more your thing!
Have you considered Escape from Tarkov? It can be brutally hard, but it’s super rewarding when you pull off a successful raid. Just a heads up, the anti-cheat system isn’t the best, so you might not want to go with that if that’s a dealbreaker for you.
You might want to check out Insurgency (2014). It’s got some solid tactical gameplay and realistic firearm use. People love it for its intensity! But don’t forget about Sandstorm, which is the updated version and has a lot more to offer. Why not give that a whirl?
Yeah, but you should really go for Sandstorm since it’s the more polished version with better mechanics!
Grayzone Warfare might be up your alley. It offers PvE and PvP modes and features pretty hardcore gameplay involving realistic injury treatment. Plus, the co-op aspect could add to the fun, although it’s not really a classic deathmatch mode.
True, but the thrill you get from finding loot in Tarkov is unmatched! Just know that it can be a bit of a grind.
