Hey everyone, I’m on the hunt for a tactical shooter that offers a realistic firearms experience but isn’t Counter-Strike 2. Here are a few things I’m looking for:
– Weapons should feel somewhat realistic.
– No class systems or heroes; I prefer players having straightforward skill sets.
– I want to steer clear of games with air strikes, drones, etc.
Some differences I’d also love to see from CS2 include a stronger anti-cheat system and maybe a basic team deathmatch mode. I’ve already put in about 500 hours into CS2, so I’m looking for something a bit different. If a game doesn’t meet all these criteria, I’m open to checking it out anyway.

If you’re looking for something hardcore, check out Grayzone Warfare. It’s got both PvE and PvP modes, and the injury treatment mechanics are super realistic. The gun building aspect is also pretty cool!
For a single-player challenge, try Crysis Remastered. It demands careful planning and cover, but it’s a solid tactical shooter experience. Just a little different from your usual online games!
I think you might want to check out Insurgency (2014). It has a realistic feel and doesn’t rely on weird class systems. Just a straightforward shooting experience!
Have you considered Escape from Tarkov? It’s really intense and can be super rewarding, though it has its lows. Just a heads up about the anti-cheat, though—it’s pretty questionable!
True, but he mentioned wanting a better anti-cheat, and Tarkov’s system is a bit of a joke.
You might also enjoy Ready or Not. It leans more into tactical gameplay and has great single-player elements. Not as multiplayer-focused, but still worth a try.
But why play the original when Sandstorm has been out for years? It’s way better!
