Hey everyone! I’m trying to find Steam games that support 8 or more players playing together. No problem if we have to set up our own dedicated servers or use mods to make it work. Our group loves gaming together, but we’ve hit a bit of a wall finding fresh titles that can handle big teams. We’re open to MMOs if the cooperative guild experience is genuinely fun—something more engaging than just solo grinding like in Black Desert Online. So far, we’ve enjoyed games like 7 Days to Die, Conan Exiles, Minecraft, Valheim, Project Zomboid, Astroneer, and Farming Simulator. Ark didn’t quite stick with us. Any suggestions for similar games or new ideas would be amazing! Thanks in advance :)

FlatOut 2 is a great pick if you’re into something less serious. It supports up to 8 players and is more about causing chaos and smashing into each other than pure racing. Perfect for LAN parties or casual get-togethers, and it has a solid positive rating on Steam too!
You might also consider Serious Sam games for big groups, known for their insane hordes and chaos. Also, Phasmophobia is popular for co-op ghost hunting, though I’m not sure if it officially supports that many players without mods. Speaking of mods, some games can support more players if you customize servers or add mods, so it’s worth searching for those options too.
If you want some tactical co-op action, Starship Troopers: Extermination can hold up to 16 players and offers bursts of action-packed gameplay. Red Solstice 2 is another option with up to 12 players in skirmish mode, and co-op campaigns supporting up to 8 people. Both are great for groups that want something intense but cooperative.
You might want to check out Enshrouded. It supports up to 16 players and has a vibe similar to Valheim. It’s still in early access, but there’s already a decent amount of content to keep a bigger group busy while it continues to develop.
Thanks for the tip! Early access is fine as long as the content is fun enough to dive into with the group.
