Hey everyone, I’ve been using my Xbox Series X connected to a PC monitor with a headset plugged into the controller for audio, but I’m trying to find some good speaker options. I’ve done my homework online, but it’s been tough to get a clear answer. I’ve heard that the Series X doesn’t have a standard audio output, and it seems like you can’t just use any Bluetooth speaker–only those that are officially supported. I’ve tried searching for these approved speakers, but they’re hard to come by. I’m also considering getting a new monitor with an audio jack or a small TV, but those options might be pricey. Any advice or solutions from you all? Thanks!

You might want to look into an HDMI audio extractor. It’s a nifty tool that lets you use speakers with either HDMI or optical connections. Just make sure your extractor can handle 4K and other high settings if that’s your jam! This way, you can hook up all kinds of audio systems from simple soundbars to full surround setups.
Honestly, it sounds like going the TV route is your best shot. The Series X doesn’t have optical output or Bluetooth for speakers, which makes things a bit tricky if your setup is just a monitor. If you do get a TV, you’ll usually have more options, like HDMI ports for soundbars. That way, you can easily upgrade your audio without breaking the bank too badly. If anyone else has some suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
Good point! A soundbar could really enhance your gaming experience. Plus, most modern TVs have built-in Bluetooth, so you can connect those easily!
Another option is to get speakers that can connect directly to the 3.5mm jack on a monitor. Just keep in mind that the Series X limits you when it comes to speaker connections, so doing some research on compatible devices is key!
For real, those extractors are super versatile! They really upgrade your audio game without needing the latest surround receivers.
