Looking for Singleplayer Games that Capture the Feel of a Tabletop RPG

-

I’m on the hunt for singleplayer games that are themed around playing a fictional tabletop game, ideally featuring a dungeon master or similar elements. I’ve come across a few that seem promising based on their descriptions:

– **Inscryption**: This game combines escape room elements with a deckbuilding adventure that includes a dungeon master and physical objects like map scrolls.
– **Hand of Fate 2**: A visually stunning game where the character engages in a board game style format, complete with real-time action combat against a dealer.
– **Inkshade**: Features a dungeon master, leveling up, beautiful board layouts, and interactive map scrolls, which aligns closely with what I’m looking for.
– **Dice With Death**: A straightforward dice game against Death himself that embodies the tabletop spirit.
– **Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands**: Although primarily a Borderlands title, it weaves a narrative in a TTRPG setting.

If anyone has other suggestions that fit this theme, I’d love to hear them!

Have you tried **Crimson Shroud**? It’s got a great tabletop feel, but fair warning, it’s a bit hard to find since it’s no longer available for purchase. You might have to look for it through other means, like emulators or hacks.

Love a good JRPG. Thanks for the tip!

Check out **Knights of Pen and Paper**! It’s a fun game where you play as a whole party participating in a TTRPG session. You manage the players and the story, and it’s quite entertaining!

This looks really cool! Thanks for the recommendation!

You could check out **Citizen Sleeper**! It incorporates tabletop dice mechanics, although it may not fully meet your criteria. Still, it’s a cool game if the concept intrigues you.
