I’ve been trying to upgrade my Steam Deck’s storage for a while now, but I’ve had some bad luck. The first 2TB SD card I got was corrupted and couldn’t be formatted, so I had to settle for a smaller 200 or 400 GB card, which is nearly full now. I recently ordered another 2TB card, but it seems like I might have received a counterfeit or a faulty one. I’m hoping anyone can suggest brands that actually work with the Steam Deck and where to find them at a reasonable price, as most options I’ve seen are pretty pricey.

I’ve had good experiences with Sandisk and Samsung SD cards. They’re generally reliable, but yeah, most 2TB options are going to be over $100. You might find 1TB cards for around $70, which is a solid deal if you’re looking to save a bit. Got any specifics on what you’ve tried so far?
Be careful with deals that seem too good to be true! I just bought a Sandisk Ultra Plus (1.5TB) from Amazon, and it’s been working great. Spending a little more often pays off!
The Samsung EVO Plus is another solid choice. It’s pretty dependable and works well with the Steam Deck.
Thanks for the tip! Yeah, I think I need to focus on the well-known brands.
