I’m not really into traditional RPGs with knights and dragons, and turn-based combat isn’t my style either. I recently had a blast playing through all the endings of Cyberpunk 2077. I’m looking for more games that have a futuristic or modern setting with gunplay similar to Cyberpunk. I’ve tried The Division series, Starfield, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Starfield had way too much exploration for my taste, and I found S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 pretty dull. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Have you thought about trying Fallout 4? It has that modern setting and plenty of shooting action!
You might also want to check out Prey and The Outer Worlds. Both have that sci-fi vibe and are tons of fun! Prey has a great story and inventive gameplay, while The Outer Worlds blends humor with action. Give them a shot!
You should definitely check out the original Deus Ex. It’s got a lot of the things that Cyberpunk aims for but with actually impactful choices and open-ended missions. If you’re worried about the gunplay being dated, the newer Deus Ex games like Mankind Divided and Human Revolution are great too. They may not be as open but still provide some solid gameplay. Plus, I had way more fun with them than Cyberpunk!
I hear you! I loved Mankind Divided and Human Revolution. They got me hooked on cyberpunk games for sure. I’m hesitant to try the original Deus Ex because of the old-school controls, but maybe it’s worth it!
Totally agree! I think the story and gameplay in those games are top-notch. If you’re a fan of stealth mechanics like I am, they’re a great fit.
I played the original Prey on the Xbox 360, and I really enjoyed it. The reboot’s been on my to-play list for a while now, thanks for the reminder! I think I’m installing it today!
