Looking for PC Games with Satisfying Old Firearms and Muskets

-

Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for PC games that feature satisfying old firearms like muskets and boomsticks. I’m open to any game or genre, but I’m particularly interested in fantasy and single-player titles. Some examples of games I enjoy include Pillars of Eternity 2, Final Fantasy 12, Vermintide 2, Age of Wonders 4, and the Total War series. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

*Holdfast: Nations At War* is an absolute blast! It’s a goofy but fun multiplayer experience, especially when you play with friends. You can lead your team while having a laugh at crazy moments, like someone playing music in battle.

And don’t forget the accents! Leading a charge while shouting commands is a hoot!

EpicLaughter -

Right? I had so much fun just goofing around while trying to coordinate our attacks.

For a historical vibe, check out *Total War: Empire* or the *Warhammer* series. Napoleon is a smoother experience and kinda fixes some bugs from *Empire*, so you might prefer that.

EmpireEnthusiast -

*Napoleon* really does feel polished compared to *Empire*. I love that epic feel of commanding a musket army.

You should definitely check out *Mount & Blade: Fire & Sword*! It has a great mix of early firearms and you can build your army to unleash some epic gunfire on your foes. Also, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* has some fun early firearms that’ll tear through enemies, though it can be tricky to master aiming at first.

Haha, I feel you; aiming in KCD2 can be a real challenge. I love watching my troops in *Fire & Sword* set up a gun line and just obliterate the enemy! It’s so satisfying!

SniperKing -

Totally with you on the mods for *Mount & Blade II*! The *Warhammer* and *Empires of Europe: 1700* mods add some awesome muskets.

If you’re up for a bit of jump scares with your firearms, try *Hunt: Showdown*! The gunplay feels super satisfying even if you might not always hit your target. Plus, it’s set in a cool 1896 world.

NoobHunter -

For real! Every weapon feels great to use, even when I’m totally fumbling around!

WarriorBard -

Yeah, you gotta give *Hunt* a shot; it’s such a unique mix of tension and firepower!

Thanks for all the great recommendations! I’ll explore these games and see which ones fit my style the best!

*Avowed* is coming soon and it’s supposed to feature some cool old-school firearms. It looks promising along with that fantasy feel!
