Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m diving into the world of JRPGs and I’m on the lookout for some solid recommendations. I’m not entirely sure what I’m into yet, but to give you some context, here’s a rundown of my gaming experience:
**Games I’ve Played:**
– NieR: Automata
**Currently Playing:**
– Final Fantasy XV
– Final Fantasy VII (1997)
– Final Fantasy XVI
**Games I Want to Play:**
– Chrono Trigger
– More Final Fantasy (like the VII Remakes, XII, X, V)
– NieR: Replicant
– Xenogears (struggling with the emulator)
– Secret of Mana
**Games I’m Not Interested In:**
– Persona series
– Xenoblade Chronicles (not a fan of the combat, but willing to try X)
I know my preferences are a bit vague right now as my JRPG palate is still developing. It would be super helpful if you could mention any standout features of the games you recommend, like why they might catch my interest. For instance, I’m looking forward to NieR: Replicant because I loved Automata, and I’m intrigued by Xenogears due to its mechs and combat mechanics. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you haven’t yet, check out **Skies of Arcadia**. It’s a classic with a fantastic story and airship battles. Also, **Dragon Quest XI** is awesome for a more light-hearted experience!
Definitely give **Ys: Oath in Felghana** a shot! It’s a fun one and has some solid action combat with a great story. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
You might really enjoy **Lost Odyssey** if you have a console for it. It’s a hidden gem on Xbox and has an excellent story, plus a nostalgic vibe that feels very traditional JRPG. And yeah, **Suikoden II** is a classic that you’ll love if you’re into recruiting characters—definitely a masterpiece!
I’ve heard a lot about Lost Odyssey! Is it as good as people say?
