I’m getting a bit tired of melee builds that just focus on light attacks and want to try something different. I’m looking for melee weapons that offer a unique playstyle or have interesting special traits that change how you approach combat. For example, stuff like the dual Ichor Incarnon with its toxic field on kill, the Zenistar disc, or the Syam which has infinite range. Does anyone know other melee weapons that stand out in a similar way?

You should totally check out the Hespar with the Galeforce Dawn stance. It lets you gallop while attacking, which is pretty unlike anything else. It constantly pushes you forward as you strike, so it feels really dynamic and fun to run around with instead of just standing still swinging.
If you want something a bit explosive and flashy, Vitrica is a cool option. You can “glass them” by sniping or blast enemies up close. It offers a bit of versatility, so you’re not just locked into pure melee smashing.
Also, consider the Wolf Sledge for a more brutal and heavy-hitting option with unique animations. And don’t forget gunblades if you want a hybrid style—those can switch between light attack combos and heavy strikes, adding some variety to your melee experience.
A bunch of incarnon weapons fit your criteria, like the Okina Prime Incarnon or Sampotes, and even Ruvox. They usually have some nice special traits or effects that add that unique twist you’re after. Definitely worth trying out a few incarnons if you haven’t yet.
If you want something really different, the Twin Basolk is awesome because it lets you teleport between enemies as you attack. It changes the flow of combat completely and feels way more fast-paced and fluid than most other melee weapons.
