I’m on the hunt for a video game set in a medieval environment—specifically, something from the 1700s or 1800s—where I can create my own kingdom, conquer nearby settlements, and have the freedom to manage my lands and the people within them however I see fit. I’ve got a vibe similar to “Kingdom Come: Deliverance” in mind. If nothing fits that description, are there any good mods for existing games like Skyrim, Oblivion, or the Fallout series that might capture what I’m looking for?

What you’re describing sounds epic! I completely get the vibe of conquering and managing lands as a character, especially after that dream you had. It seems like most titles lean towards either kingdom management or RPG elements but not both at the same time. If any mods come out that give you more control over your conquered territories, that’d be awesome to find out.
If you’re looking for something more modern, “Anno 1800″ pops up, but I have to warn you, it’s more of a city-builder. I know you’re keen on controlling a character and raiding—”Anno 1800” might not be your cup of tea since it focuses more on economy and building. Still, it’s pretty engaging!
You might want to check out “Mount and Blade: Warband” or its sequel “Bannerlord.” They’re not exactly set in the 1700s-1800s, but they let you build your forces, join existing kingdoms, or even form your own. Unfortunately, they don’t offer control over your subjects like what you’re after, but they’re worth playing, especially with the right mods!
Are there mods for these that let you do more with the people in conquered lands?
Yeah, I’m not into city-building either. Looking for more action!
