Hey everyone! I know this topic comes up a lot, but I couldn’t find something specific that meets my needs. I’m in the search for some solid city builder survival games on PS5, particularly set in Medieval, Viking, or Ancient times like Rome or Egypt. I’ve really enjoyed playing Medieval Dynasty, but I found the lack of combat beyond bandit camps made it lose its charm after a while, especially after building several cities.
I’m also open to any RTS games from the Viking Age, Medieval times, or Ancient Rome/Egypt. Modern city builders or RTS games just aren’t my thing. For reference, I love titles like ‘Total War: Rome’, the classic Crusader Kings games, ‘Age of Empires’, and I’m really looking forward to ‘Manor Lords’ as well as the upcoming ‘Dune: Awakening’. I get that PC is the ideal platform for these genres, but right now, I can’t afford a decent gaming setup.

I think they also have Civilization available for PS5, but keep in mind it eventually leads to modern warfare with planes and tanks. If you’re not into that, it might be a turn-off for you.
You should definitely try out Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord! It’s got great combat and city-building elements, plus the medieval vibes are on point.
