I’ve got about two months of free time and I’m itching to dive into some new games. I’m specifically on the lookout for single-player experiences that have already wrapped up their major updates. I’m open to any genre, so feel free to suggest anything quirky or out of the ordinary! I recently got a PC, so I’m also interested in PC games that might have flown under my radar. What are your all-time favorite games that aren’t too mainstream?

**Chained Echoes** and **War of Rights** are fantastic too! Chained Echoes is a great little RPG, and War of Rights is a super immersive and tactical FPS set during the Civil War. It’s not too well-known but is a gem if you’re into that style.
You might want to check out **Generation Zero**. It’s an FPS that just got its last update, and it throws you into a 1980’s Sweden where you must survive a robot invasion. It’s kinda realistic and has a really unique vibe.
If you want something absolutely fantastic, try **Fuga Melodies of Steel**. It’s a turn-based JRPG featuring anthropomorphic animal children in a giant fortress-like tank. Think of it as a tech-driven version of Howl’s Moving Castle. I recommend downloading the free demo for the first game; it covers the first three chapters. Just a heads up, play them in order for the best experience! Each game is around 20–28 hours long.
You should definitely check out **Lunacid**! It’s a first-person RPG inspired by the Kings Field series, and it’s one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had recently. The world-building and atmosphere are just incredible, and it packs in some real ‘Holy shit’ moments while exploring. Plus, it’s only about 15 hours long, making it perfect for a weekend binge.
For something more chilling and atmospheric, try **Saturnalia**. It’s pretty much a hidden gem that not many people talk about but offers a unique experience. Definitely worth a look!
