Hey everyone! I’m trying to take a break from multiplayer games, especially any battle royale stuff. I’ve already played through all the God of War titles, Hell Divers 2, and the full set of Spider-Man games. I’m mainly focusing on using my PS5 more since I’ve mostly stuck to Xbox and its exclusives before. Got any good single-player game recommendations, whether they’re older classics or new releases?

You might want to check out some of the classics like Until Dawn if you like story-rich experiences. Also, all the Uncharted games are solid picks with great adventure and storytelling. If you enjoyed action games, Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry series have tons to offer too.
In addition to those, some of the best PS exclusives like Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Forbidden West offer cinematic single-player adventures if you want a solid narrative and open world exploration. Also, The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 are must-plays if you haven’t gotten to those yet. For a horror twist, Dead Space, Resident Evil 7 and 8, Silent Hill, and Alan Wake 1 and 2 deliver great scares and story depth.
If you’re looking for something a bit different, give Astro Bot a try. It’s a fun and charming platformer that really shows off what the PS5 can do. And for something fresh, Final Fantasy VII Remake and the upcoming Final Fantasy Stranger of Paradise could be interesting too if you like JRPGs with strong stories and awesome combat.
If you’re into something more challenging and rewarding, Soulslike games are amazing solo experiences. On PS5, definitely play Bloodborne if you haven’t already – it’s tough but really engaging. Elden Ring is another fantastic choice and you can play it offline for a pure single-player run. Nioh 2 has fantastic combat but is PS exclusive, and Rise of the Ronin is another good one although the PC port isn’t great, so PS5 is the way to go.
