I’m on the hunt for a great shooter game with a solid campaign, but I’m leaning towards older titles that don’t feature robots or mech suits. Aside from the Call of Duty series, I’m open to any recommendations. I’m a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid, so I’m wondering if the Splinter Cell series might be a good fit. I’ve also considered Battlefield, but I’ve heard its campaigns aren’t the best. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you played the Gears of War trilogy? It’s a tad different but has an awesome campaign. Also, the Bulletstorm game is just plain fun, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously! If you’re in the mood for something older, Max Payne 3 is a classic that you shouldn’t miss!
If you’re a Metal Gear fan, I highly recommend both the Metro and STALKER series. They have rich narratives and immersive atmospheres, definitely up your alley for story-driven gameplay!
You might want to check out the Crysis trilogy! They have some engaging stories and great gameplay without any mech stuff. Perfect if you’re into visually stunning environments and good plotting!
Yeah, Max Payne 3 has such a gripping story! It’s dark and has the signature bullet time. You’d probably enjoy the intense narrative!
