I’m on the hunt for a great story-driven game that I can really sink my teeth into. I work full time, so I might take a break for a few days or even a week at a time. What games offer a solid narrative and a good pace that I can jump back into easily?

You should definitely check out ‘The Witcher 3’ and ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’. Both have fantastic stories and are perfect for picking up after a break. ‘Skyrim’ and ‘Fallout 3’ are also classics if you haven’t played them yet. Lots of depth and replay value!
‘Subnautica’ is amazing if you’re into a mix of exploration and a bit of terrifying deep-sea adventure. I’ve logged hundreds of hours in it, and it’s easy to return to after being away for a while. Plus, the atmosphere is just incredible!
If you like exploring with vehicles too, then ‘Pacific Drive’ is a great addition to your list alongside ‘Subnautica’! It’s got a cool loop of driving and collecting things.
The newer ‘God of War’ games are awesome too! They have a great story, and the combat is easy to get into without feeling too overwhelming. Perfect if you aren’t looking to invest months in just one game.
If you’re into retro stuff, I’d recommend ‘Baldur’s Gate’. You can start with the third game for something fresh, or the first one if you want to experience some classic RPG goodness. And don’t forget to mod ‘Skyrim’ to turn dragons into Macho Man! It’s hilarious!
‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ is another fantastic choice; it’s such a rich world with a gripping story. You can really take your time with it and still enjoy the narrative without feeling rushed. Plus, it’s visually stunning!
Oh, totally agree! ‘Subnautica’ is a must-play if you’re into intense exploration games!
