Hey everyone! I just got myself a TrimUI Brick and I’m super excited to start loading some ROMs onto it. I’ve already got all my childhood favorites from consoles like Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color, Nintendo DS, and PS1. Now, I’m ready to explore games for NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis, but I honestly have no clue where to begin picking the right titles. With so many great options out there, I really don’t want to overload my system since I tend to get overwhelmed. Since I’ve never played on those systems before, what are some must-play games you’d recommend?

If you’re looking for a few more hidden gems, check out “DuckTales” and “Castlevania III” for NES. They’re a blast and really fun to play! For SNES, you might also enjoy “Super Metroid”—it’s a must-play for any retro fan. Genesis has some great sports titles like “Madden NFL” and “NBA Jam” if you’re into that. Happy gaming!
For NES, I’d say start with classics like “Super Mario Bros,” “The Legend of Zelda,” and “Metroid.” These games set the standard for platforming and adventure. For SNES, don’t miss out on “Super Mario World,” “The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past,” and “Chrono Trigger”—they’re some of the best games ever made! As for Sega Genesis, you can’t go wrong with “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Streets of Rage.” These games will give you a great feel for each console!
Great suggestions! I’d like to add that “EarthBound” for SNES is a gem and pretty unique compared to other RPGs if you’re interested in something quirky.
Totally agree with the DuckTales recommendation! Such a classic. Also, if you’re into platformers, “Mega Man” games are a blast too.
