Hey everyone! My wife is considering getting into video games as a new hobby, but she has zero gaming experience so far. I don’t think she’d enjoy the intense games that I like, like Baldur’s Gate or Helldivers. I was thinking something like ‘It Takes Two’ would be a fun option for us to play together, but I’d also love to find some games she could enjoy solo. Any recommendations for good entry-level games?

Animal Crossing is a hit with many new gamers. It’s casual, cute, and you can play at your own pace. If she likes management and creativity, she could also have fun with The Sims or Stardew Valley. These kinds of games really help ease someone into the gaming world!
Stardew Valley is a great choice! It’s super relaxing, and there’s a lot of content to keep her engaged. It’s friendly for beginners and has simple mechanics that make it perfect for easing into gaming. Plus, I’ve heard it’s available on PS5. Definitely a win!
I’d suggest checking out the Portal series. Both Portal and Portal 2 have fun puzzles with great humor, and they don’t involve any combat, making them perfect for beginners. Plus, the co-op mode in Portal 2 can be really fun for you two to play together!
Absolutely! Portal is amazing for learning mechanics without being overwhelmed. My wife loved it too!
Yeah, I’ve heard nothing but good things about Stardew Valley. Your wife will likely get hooked!
