I’ve been on the hunt for some great couch co-op games to enjoy with my husband. We’re all about split-screen adventures, but we find the options a bit limited. We’re not into overhead or top-down games like Baldur’s Gate, and while I find joy in light-hearted titles like Untitled Goose Game, he’s not a fan. Here’s a list of games we’ve enjoyed together: It Takes Two, Split Fiction, Sackboy, Rocket League, A Way Out, Cat Quest 2, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Borderlands 3, Unraveled 2, and a bunch of Lego games, among others. We’re really looking for more story-driven experiences rather than just competitive matches or quick playstyles. Any recommendations for hidden gems we haven’t tried would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried Diablo III? It’s a fantastic couch co-op game with up to four players and offers a lot of engaging gameplay. The Eternal Collection version even comes with the Necromancer DLC and the Reaper of Souls expansion. It’s an ARPG, which is quite different from Baldur’s Gate but definitely easy to jump into and have a good time!
