Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a turn-based game, but I need a break from Atlus titles since I’ve been playing a ton of them lately. I also want to steer clear of Baldur’s Gate 3 and Final Fantasy for now. I’ve been considering trying out Like a Dragon, but I’m curious if it feels more like an Atlus game or if it has its own unique gameplay. Also, I’m open to possibly diving into an older CRPG. Any suggestions?

You might want to check out X-Com! It’s got its own style and tactical depth that’s different from most traditional turn-based games. Plus, there’s been talk of another game coming out since Midnight Suns didn’t do too well. It could scratch that strategic itch!
How about giving Octopath Traveler 2 a shot? The graphics are stunning and while the combat isn’t flashy like Persona, it’s still really enjoyable. If you’re interested in classics, Chrono Trigger is definitely a must-play if you haven’t tried it yet.
Chrono Trigger is timeless, you won’t regret it!
If you’re into deck-building games, consider trying out Dicey Dungeons, Monster Train, or even some more casual ones like Shotgun King or Urban Cards. They offer a unique twist on turn-based mechanics and can be super fun!
I actually have Monster Train on my wishlist! I’ll definitely check out the others too, thanks!
Love X-Com! It really changed the tactical game scene, can’t wait to see what they do next.
