Hey everyone! I’m currently broke and on the hunt for some new games that are quick, exciting, and fun to play. I usually love indie games, but I’m open to titles from bigger studios as long as the in-game purchases are just cosmetic and not pay-to-win. My go-to genres are racing games and shooters, but I’m generally interested in any action-packed games. I’m gaming on PC and can emulate, so single-player or multiplayer options are both great since I’d like to enjoy them solo or with my girlfriends (I’m polyamorous). I prefer something that doesn’t tax my brain too much; I’m just looking for games where I can kick back, shoot stuff, or race cars without overthinking. I struggle with games that have gritty, realistic graphics and moody lighting; they just make it hard to know what I’m looking at. I usually have a better time with bright, colorful games like Roboquest, Splatoon, and Overwatch. I can handle the realism in racing games, like Need For Speed, but I’m currently missing my sim racing gear, so I haven’t delved into games like Dirt Rally or Assetto Corsa lately. Any suggestions?

If you’re looking for something bright and fun, give Miracle Fly a shot! It’s colorful and really fast-paced, especially if you’re into speedrunning. Plus, it’s great with a controller, just make sure to check the controls before diving in!
You should definitely check out Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal! They’re super fast-paced and you can adjust the difficulty, so you can kind of just turn your brain off and have a blast ripping through enemies. Even though they have a more realistic backdrop, the paths are pretty clear and highlighted, so you should be good with that!
Guild Wars 2 could be a solid choice! The base game is free, but you can buy expansions whenever they go on sale (often 50-75% off). You can casually run around and smack things, which is especially satisfying if you go with a necromancer!
Yeah, and there’s so much you can explore, plus the community is friendly. It’s perfect for casual play!
