Looking for Casual and Relaxing Games After Quitting League of Legends

-

Hey everyone! I’m on a mission to move away from League of Legends after realizing it was just draining me. It’s been quite the journey, and now I’m searching for some game recommendations to fill that void with something more casual and relaxed. I’ve been playing visual novels and strategy games like Civilization 5, but those can be a bit too intense or time-consuming. Ideally, I’m looking for games that I can enjoy while watching YouTube or multitasking. Here are some specifics:

– **Casual Games**: I’ve got Monopoly on PC so far, and I’m eyeing Slay the Spire.
– **Turn-Based Games**: I’m interested in titles like Octopath Traveler and other RPGs.
– **Shorter Strategy Games**: I love Civ but need something that doesn’t take forever, maybe something with generated maps against AI.
– **Cooperative Online Games**: I considered Final Fantasy but can’t do subscriptions. Phantasy Star Online is in my library, but I haven’t tried it yet. RuneScape feels too massive to jump into right now.

Any suggestions you all have would be super helpful!

Have you checked out **Factorio**? It’s a nice mix of strategy and casual gameplay — perfect for those long afternoons while multitasking.

You might want to check out **Slay the Spire** for a casual yet engaging card game experience — it’s perfect for background viewing! Also, **Vampire Survivors** and **Balatro** are amazing choices for quick runs that can keep you entertained while you focus on something else. Both are super addictive and fit your casual gaming criteria perfectly!

Balatro is such a gem! Highly recommend it.

If you’re a fan of RPGs, give **Baldur’s Gate 3** a try. It’s not overly intense, and you can play at your own pace. Just a heads up though, you might need to focus a bit more on that one!

If you’re looking for a great co-op experience to escape the League toxicity, I highly recommend **Deep Rock Galactic**. It’s a fun game where you team up as space dwarves mining for resources. Just know that some higher difficulties might be a bit challenging if you’re multitasking. Also, check out **Atlyss** — it’s helped me a lot in moving on from League, and the community there is surprisingly positive! Have fun mining!

Atlyss totally changed my perspective on gaming! The vibe is refreshing compared to League. Plus, their subreddit has great game recommendations too!

Can’t believe I overlooked DRG! It’s been such a blast. Rock and Stone!

Don’t forget about **Monster Hunter: World** or **Rise**! They go on sale fairly often and are excellent for gaming while watching something on another screen. Lots of fun co-op gameplay without the pressure of a toxic environment.

You should definitely dive into the **XCOM** series, specifically XCOM 1 & 2. They have loads of content and fit your turn-based strategy needs. **Into the Breach** is also a brilliant pick for quick, strategic gameplay. If you want something even more chill, **Stardew Valley** might be your jam — it’s relaxing and perfect for playing while you have YouTube on in the background. Enjoy your gaming journey!

ChillGamer99 -

Stardew is such a wonderful game! Tranquil vibes that really help the mind.

You could also try **Deep Rock Galactic**, which has a great community and can be played casually. The community is super supportive compared to League, and it’s a good time!
