I’m on the hunt for an RPG that features resource farming, experience points, leveling up, and maybe even class systems. I’m in the mood for something reminiscent of Chrono Trigger, but if it’s not turn-based, that’s okay too! I really enjoy grinding for levels, gear, money, and resources. Ideally, I want something that will keep me busy for a long time. Just no Souls-like games, please! Here’s a list of some games I’ve played so far: Chrono Trigger, Bravely Default series, Fallout NV & 4, Mass Effect series, Dragon Age series, Borderlands series, Chained Echoes, and most of the Final Fantasy games. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! :)

Have you tried Crosscode? It’s a fun top-down hack-and-slash game that has a really satisfying grind. Plus, it has amazing bosses and puzzles. The normal difficulty can be tough, but you can adjust it!
If you’re into classic RPGs and haven’t checked out Octopath Traveler yet, you should definitely give it a shot. It’s a wonderful game that offers a unique experience!
Have you checked out ARPGs? Last Epoch and Grim Dawn are solid choices. If you’re leaning towards turn-based, you might enjoy dungeon crawlers like Labyrinth of Galleria or Etrian Odyssey!
If you haven’t played any of the Star Ocean games, definitely give those a look. They have a mix of exploration and combat that might fit what you want!
You might want to look into Resonance of Fate and Earthlock; they could be what you’re after. Also, Rune Factory 4 and Fantasy Life (which is getting a rerelease) are great for that farming aspect!
I’ve played Resonance of Fate before and loved it! I think I might have tried one of the Rune Factory games too.
I haven’t tried those yet! Grim Dawn looks pretty interesting though!
