Looking for an AMD CPU alternative to the Intel i7 14700K for gaming and productivity

I’m trying to decide on a solid AMD CPU to pair with my RX 9070XT. I need something that performs well for both gaming and productivity tasks. I was originally considering the Intel i7 14700K, but I’m open to AMD alternatives. Any suggestions?

For both gaming and productivity, I’d recommend considering the Ryzen 9 7900 or 7900X. They provide excellent multitasking capabilities and are great for rendering alongside gaming. Just keep in mind how intensive your workloads will be—if you’re mostly doing mid-range work, these CPUs should be more than sufficient.

If gaming is your main priority, you might want to check out the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It offers great performance for gaming, especially with its 3D V-Cache technology. That being said, it also holds up well for productivity, so it’s a solid all-rounder.
