Hey everyone! I’ve got an ASUS PRIME B450M-A II motherboard, and I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D. I’m considering upgrading to a better AM4 motherboard, but I don’t necessarily need built-in WLAN. What I really want is a board with 2-3 M.2 slots. Any recommendations?

Honestly, unless you’re switching platforms, your current board should serve you well. It’s doable as it is, unless you have specific needs that it can’t fulfill.
If you really need more M.2 slots, consider using a PCIe adapter instead of buying a whole new motherboard. Your Ryzen 5700X3D should last you a good while, so maybe think about waiting for AM5 or even AM6 down the line.
There are not a ton of boards with multiple M.2 slots, but you could go for an X570 board and use something like the Asus Hyper M.2 expansion card. It gives you extra M.2 slots and might be a more flexible solution than a full upgrade. I found an ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 for around $188 if you’re interested!
Thanks for the solid suggestion! I actually just ordered a PCIe expansion card for an M.2 slot too.
