Hey there! I’m running out of storage on my Xbox Series X, and I suspect Call of Duty is the culprit, taking up around 420 GB. I checked the prices for expansion cards, and it made my wallet cry. Is there any cheaper alternative available, or does anyone have one for sale at a lower price?

I keep my current games on the internal storage and throw everything else on an external drive. Older games don’t need that high-speed access, so it works out well. Plus, it’s easy to move games back and forth when you need to play them.
A smart way to manage storage is to go through your COD files and uninstall any modes or maps you aren’t using. It can free up a good chunk of space without needing an expansion card.
Unfortunately, your options are pretty limited. There are basically just the two brands of expansion cards: Seagate and Western Digital. I know it’s a common question, but these products don’t come cheap.
If you’re looking for more options, consider getting a USB-3 External Hard Drive. While you won’t get the same speed as the internal storage, you’ll be able to keep older Xbox One games on it which really helps with managing your internal storage for next-gen titles.
Try to avoid keeping your entire COD installation. Only have the games and modes you actively play installed to save some space! It makes a big difference.
Guess I’ll have to save a bit more then. Thanks for the heads up!
