Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a new gaming laptop and could use some guidance. I’m considering the ASUS Vivobook 16X, which has an RTX 4050, Intel Core i7, 32GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. I want to play games like Valheim, Arma, Call of Duty, and maybe something like Escape from Tarkov. Is this laptop good enough, or should I be looking for something different? Any tips would be super appreciated! 😊

I’d recommend not going lower than a 4060 these days. If you’re looking at used options, a 3070 is solid too, just make sure it has 8GB of VRAM for better performance.
What kind of games are you aiming to play? If you’re considering newer AAA titles, aim for at least a 4060 and a 1TB SSD. Plus, what’s your budget?
Double-check that you’re getting DDR5 RAM, and look up CPU benchmarks to see the L2 cache size, which is important for gaming. The RTX 4050 isn’t super strong for laptops; the 4060 Ti would be a better choice for newer games. Also, check if you can upgrade the SSD. Starting with 1TB is a good idea, and if you have two slots, you can eventually expand to 2TB!
