I’m on the hunt for some new adventure RPGs that focus on inventory management and crafting. Any suggestions? I love digging into games where resource management plays a big role!

The Dragon Quest series has some solid crafting, especially with the Alchemy Pot feature in the newer games. It lets you combine items for potions and gear. If you’re into intense inventory management, games like Dying Light and Metro also offer that, plus crafting better weapons. Just a heads up, it’s been ages since I played those, so double-check if they fit what you’re looking for!
For something unique, try Moonlighter! It’s an action dungeon crawler with an emphasis on managing your inventory as you sell goods and craft items. If you’re into pixel art, **Terraria** is also a fantastic pick, offering endless crafting possibilities. If you want a different experience, check out **Binding of Isaac** – it’s a roguelite with a strong emphasis on run management and item combos. It can be super chaotic but really fun once you get into it!
You might find the System Shock Remake or Prey interesting! They’re immersive FPS games with compelling inventory systems like Resident Evil 4, where items have to fit into a grid. There’s a lot of exploration and crafting at stations, allowing you to make ammo and health kits. It feels really rewarding as you backtrack through the maps too!
You should definitely check out the Atelier series! The latest installment, Atelier Yumia, has a great focus on inventory management and crafting. The cozy atmosphere makes it a lovely experience, and I find the combat in Yumia to be more engaging than in previous games. Really worth a play if you enjoy crafting!
I’ve heard about this game before! Thanks for the suggestion; I’ll take a look.
I loved the Alchemy Pot in Dragon Quest 8 on PS2! I’ll check out those other titles too, thanks!
