I’m searching for a PC game like Gold Mining Simulator, but instead of mining gold, it focuses on digging up gemstones and similar treasures. I’m not interested in Minecraft or games with PvP elements—just a chill, mining-centered experience. Any recommendations?

Have you looked into Cave Digger 2? My kid loves playing it on Oculus, but they also have a PC version without VR. You dig, upgrade your gear, and face some wildlife challenges. It supports cross-platform play between Xbox, PC, and Oculus. It’s kind of like an upgraded, first-person mining adventure with some action mixed in.
Super Mining Mechs is out there if you like the idea of combining mining with mech suits. It’s a bit different but might scratch the same itch if you want a futuristic twist on gemstone mining.
You might want to check out Hydroneer. It’s a mining sandbox game where you dig, pump water, and collect resources including precious gems. It’s pretty chill and has some cool machinery to automate your mining efforts.
If you want something more action-packed but still about mining, Deep Rock Galactic is fun. Though it’s co-op and a bit combat-focused, so not exactly what you want. If you prefer a laid-back game, you might just end up mining coal for real!
Haha yeah, definitely leaning towards something more relaxed without PvP or combat. Real-life coal mining might be simpler!
Surviving Mars has a lot of resource extraction and mining, but it’s more like a colony sim than a raw mining game. Since you already own it and it’s not quite what you want, probably best to keep looking for a pure mining sim with gems.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely give Hydroneer a try and see if it matches what I’m looking for.
