Hey everyone, I’m thinking about a new kind of jet pack for a game. I’m envisioning one that lets you fully fly around instead of just jumping, but it would be limited in how long you can use it due to a fuel tank. Any thoughts or ideas to make it more interesting or balanced?

If we do have a jet pack, fuel should definitely be super limited to maintain balance. Like, perhaps 30 seconds for each use, then a long cooldown? Otherwise, it might break the game, especially against tougher enemies!
I can imagine players zipping around and getting blasted by heavy enemy fire! Sounds like fun chaos for sure!
It sounds cool, but keep in mind the developers have already rejected flying mechanics before. Maybe think about how the gameplay could still work within existing limits?
Totally agree! Super short flights would keep the gameplay intense, and strategizing on when to use it would add a fun twist.
