Looking for a Horror RPG Where You Play as the Monsters

-

I’m on the hunt for this indie horror RPG that lets you step into the shoes of the monsters, much like the creatures in “IT.” I vaguely remember seeing a video about it, and I know it was available exclusively on its own website—definitely not on major platforms like DriveThru. I heard it was either going to have a new edition or it might have just been released. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

You might be thinking of “Kids on Bikes,” though it doesn’t focus entirely on the monsters. It’s a tabletop RPG where players create a narrative about their small town and the dangers lurking there. You might not get to play the monsters directly, but it’s got a very Stephen King vibe to it. You can build up the tension by failing rolls and getting tokens to keep things interesting!

Sounds interesting, but I’m really looking for something where you play the literal monsters, not just have a spooky setting.

Sounds like you’re looking for “They Feed on Fear.” It’s definitely aimed at giving you that experience of being the terrifying creature. Check it out here: [They Feed on Fear](https://alexei-vella.itch.io/they-feed-on-fear-a-horror-rpg). It’s indie and has that horror vibe you’re after!
