I’ve been playing as a Dance of Knives rogue, but the need for snapshotting really grinds my gears, especially as I level up. I love the speed of the build, but it’s a hassle to keep snapshotting for every action. I also tried Cataclysm druid, which required at least one buff to be snapshot in order to utilize rune buffs effectively. It’s a lot of fun when everything lines up, but waiting for a buff to trigger is frustrating. Currently, I’m sitting around power level 190 with some boards still not filled out, which might be impacting my damage without the buffs. Is there a top-tier build out there that’s enjoyable but doesn’t rely on snapshotting?

Earthquake Barbarian is another great option. It’s very forgiving with minimal snapshotting requirements. You can run around and deal substantial damage using basic skills, especially if you don’t mind maintaining your buffs. Super easy for clearing lower-level pits!
Consider the Blood Wave Necromancer! It’s a strong build that can handle it all the way through to 150 pits without heavy reliance on snapshotting. You just cast Blood Wave and collect blood orbs to keep your damage flowing, which makes it a piece of cake even with a less-than-optimal setup.
If you’re looking for alternatives, Death Trap and Rain of Arrows rogue builds can work without snapshotting—though they do require decent gear to shine. You might need specific items like Beastfall boots and a good cooldown reduction, but once you have that, they’re quite reliable!
